For my birthday, Kyle took me to the most amazing tango show in Buenos Aires called "Rojo Tango" at the Faena Hotel in Puerto Madero. He knows I am a sucker for anything dance and anything romantic so needless to say he did well. The sultry tango originated in Argentina (or Uruguay - this is a heated debate I hear) and is famous for its passion and sense of drama. The Faena show got hot and heavy - leave your grandparents at home for this one! But of course I loved every second of it.
The Faena hotel is a stunning palace in the heart of Puerto Madera. Very luxurious and extravagant in its use of deep reds and dark leathers. Everything from the color palate to the lighting screamed sensual to say the least.
When you book your table here, you get unlimited wine and a car that picks you up from your hotel and takes you home after. Everything is taken care of - so luxurious.
The show was flawless - the dancing was beautiful and yet somehow the live band managed to steal the show.
You have the option to eat dinner here prior to the performance which we did. The dinner was actually nice with a big green salad before but no GF/vegan options available for entree and dessert as you might expect. I was a happy camper though with the salad and a piece of salmon! I do ultimately suggest eating elsewhere that is more fitting to a healthy travel diet and coming to the show after (at a lesser rate) for just the bottomless wine + show combo :)
